Established April 21st, 2018 as the first Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu self-defense and Yoga studio in Poulsbo, WA. Located on the beautiful Liberty Bay just across from Poulsbo's Fish Park, we are a family friendly facility that offers kids and adult programs for all levels.
Our Poulsbo location offers BJJ downstairs, a Yoga studio upstairs, changing rooms, multiple restrooms, ample parking, and sun deck.
Our BJJ gym is located on the ground level.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu adult classes will be 60 minutes and consist of a warm up and conditioning followed by technique drills with minimal resistance and finish with sparring to practice the techniques with more resistance.
BJJ Little Warriors for kids ages 5-13 will be 50 minutes and consist of drills and games to learn discipline, self-defense skills, and to improve coordination and reflexes.
Our Yoga studio is located upstairs with entry through the main building.
Adult Yoga classes will be 60 or 75 minutes and are designed for practitioners of all ages. Practice will include Asana (postures) and Pranayama (breath-work) and delve into the other six limbs of Yoga such as Dharana (concentration) and Dhyana (meditation).
Vinyasa: a style of Yoga that develops muscular strength, stamina, and flexibility by linking the breath to each movement to create a continuous flow.
Restorative: slow moving practice focused on muscular and fascial relaxation and release that uses props to help stay in asanas (postures) for 2-5 minutes.
Yin & Yang Yoga: combines one part Vinyasa Fundamentals and one part Restorative Yoga to create a balanced practice of passive and active mobility.
Baby & Me: help build their sensory awareness and increase mobility. Reduce your stress level, rebuild abdominal strength, and reactivate your pelvic floor. Infants to crawlers welcome. Feeding and changing encouraged.
Yoga mats and props are available to all students at no extra charge.
Little Buddha's Yoga for kids ages 5-11 will be 50 minutes and consist of Yoga "games" to develop motor skills, balance, and knowledge of Yoga postures, breathing, and self-soothing techniques.
